About Me
Chartered Coaching Psychologist and Educational Psychologist
My work brings together more than three decades of psychological practice with a reflective coaching approach that helps thoughtful people navigate complex lives.
A reflective and psychologically grounded approach
Across my work as an Educational Psychologist and Coaching Psychologist, I have spent many years supporting people through complexity - whether in families, organisations or individual lives.
Over time I have seen how capable, thoughtful people can gradually lose their sense of balance while carrying significant responsibility. This may show up as pressure, overwhelm or a feeling that something no longer feels sustainable.
My work offers space to step back from that pressure, think clearly again and begin to move forward more intentionally.
Professional background
My career spans more than 35 years in psychology, including extensive work as an Educational Psychologist supporting children, families and schools.
My academic training includes postgraduate study in Educational and Child Psychology, as well as Cognitive Neuropsychology, reflecting a long-standing interest in how people think, make meaning and communicate.
Alongside this, I have developed my practice as a Chartered Coaching Psychologist, integrating coaching psychology with therapeutic understanding and reflective dialogue.
How I work
I am not a surface-level coach, nor is this about quick solutions.
This work is a space for thoughtful conversation - the kind that allows you to step out of urgency, reflect more deeply and reconnect with what matters.
Together we explore the architecture of your life: the commitments, responsibilities and patterns that shape how you live and work.
From this perspective it becomes possible to move forward with greater clarity, steadiness and intention.
Life Architecture
I sometimes describe this work as Life Architecture Coaching - a process of pausing, remembering who you are beneath the pressure of coping, and rebuilding a life that is sustainable and fully lived.
This is not about becoming someone different.
It is about rediscovering the person you already are, and creating a life structure that allows that to be lived more fully.
A little more about me
My own life has also been shaped by the changing architecture of values over time.
When my children were young, it was important to me to live in the countryside on a smallholding surrounded by animals and open space. Today I live by the Atlantic coast in Cornwall, where the presence of the sea remains a daily reminder of both the power and rhythm of life.
Alongside my professional work, I am also a parent to four adult children - an experience that has deeply shaped my understanding of the complexity, responsibility and richness that life can hold.
